Biography

Guillermo was raised in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico in a large family with 4 brothers and 1 sister. He was greatly influenced by his older brother, Efren Gonzalez, who is an accomplished artist. Guillermo spent many hours growing up doing drawings as he was watching Efren create beautiful paintings.

Guillermo excelled in his school years, leading his classes in awards for artwork and poetry. When he was 10 years old he won a prestigious state contest with his artwork. At 17 he began to focus on what he wanted to do with his life. He felt a strong pull towards being an artist and, with the support of his family, he went to study art at the University of Guadalajara.
